If you buy through a link here, the store pays me a small commission. Your price stays exactly the same. How that works.
My short take
At $449 the A16 iPad is Apple's entry price, with 128GB and a 477 g, 28.93 Wh body. It takes only the USB-C Apple Pencil or the 1st-generation one with an adapter, not the Pencil Pro the Air supports. Wi-Fi 6, where the iPad Air has Wi-Fi 7.
