Adobe said Cyber Monday would be the best day for electronics and computers in 2025, and its results showed electronics discounts peaking at 31% that day. A Galaxy S26 deal in June still beat what Samsung shows now.
A 60 Hz screen redraws every 16.6 ms and a 120 Hz screen every 8.3 ms, per Android Authority. I'd pay for 120 Hz on a phone you scroll all day, and not much more than that.
DXOMARK measured OLED flicker at 50 to 500 Hz and LCD at 1,000 Hz and up. There's no clean proof that either harms eyes, so I'd choose by flicker numbers, not panel type.
SoundGuys measured the AirPods Pro 3 cutting up to 43.5 dB at 3,070 Hz, but Wikipedia notes active cancelling works best on low, repeating sounds. I would not expect voices to fit either.
Adobe's Windows guidance is 16 GB for HD video and 32 GB for 4K. For everything else I'd start at 16 GB and treat 8 GB as a price trap.
Google promises 7 years of updates on the Pixel 11, and Apple promises nothing on the iPhone 17. I'd want 5 at minimum, and I'd treat anything past that as a bonus you may not use.
